Joanie Byrne Hall grew up in Fort Wayne, IN. She is a graduate of Michigan State University ’84 where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and on the MSU Student Foundation Steering Committee. Joanie has headed up committees and events for The Agnes Irwin School, The Haverford School, Shipley School, Benchmark School, The Gunnery and Holderness School. She and her husband served on the Parents Executive Committee at Hobart & William Smith Colleges. They are members of the St. Lawrence Parents Committee. Joanie currently serves on the boards of the US Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, the Yellowstone Club Community Foundation, St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees and the Barbara Bradley Baekgaard Family Foundation. She served on the Cancer Support Community of Greater Philadelphia for eight years and chaired several events during her terms. She was committed to a Meals on Wheels route through Bryn Mawr Hospital for 13 years. In 2013 she participated in The Philanthropy Workshop as part of Cohort 19. Joanie has worked in a variety of businesses- from the ski industry to finance to retail and decorative arts. The Halls raised their family in Haverford, PA while all spending as much time skiing as possible. They now divide their time between New York City and Big Sky, MT.
