On the morning of Monday, December 8th, the CureCervicalCancer team was greeted at the Quang Ninh Center for Reproductive Healthcare (QNCRHC) by twenty-two eager and highly-motivated healthcare professionals from the five CCC centers in Northern Vietnam. After a two and one half hour didactic lecture on the fundamentals of “See and Treat,” the first clinic day commenced with the now expert personnel of the existing CCC clinics taking on the primary role of training the new healthcare providers with great pride and enthusiasm. Under careful and compassionate guidance, we were proud to conclude the day having screened a total of 138 women of whom 16 screened positive for precancerous cervical lesions and received cryotherapy. We look forward to an even more productive day as our new trainees hone their rapidly growing skills at the QNCRHC tomorrow!
