Formerly known as Dr. Erica Oberman, her newly earned title is now: The Beast of Hoanh Bo. How did she earn this fearsome name? By screening a record breaking 397 patients in just one day! At first when the CCC team heard the news, we thought she was joking. How could this be? No one has ever come close to numbers like these. However, while we were initially shocked, this impressive feat made sense. Dr. Oberman came on this trip with a goal to treat as many women as humanly possible, and her attitude always reflected this ambition. Her hard work inspired all of us and we couldn’t be more thankful to have her as a role model and member of our team. Dr. Oberman, along with the rest of the team, readily gives credit and appreciation to Doris Pesina RN and Rhia Bello RN who assisted Dr. Oberman in the rural Hoanh Bo village clinic and made this accomplishment possible.
