A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Arno Mundt graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Philosophy and went on to Medical School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In March 2006, Dr. Mundt was recruited to be Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Mundt is an internationally recognized radiation oncologist and is current President of The American College of Radiation Oncology. He has published over 100 journal articles, book chapters and reviews predominantly focusing on the use of novel radiotherapy approaches including intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Mundt’s specialty is in radiation therapy for gynecologic malignancies (cervical, uterine, vulvar).
