Greetings friends and CCC supporters! Caitlin here! I just wanted to post a quick update about our third day here in Kenya. This morning we were up early and on the road to Muhuru. Upon our arrival to The Lustgarten Family Clinic, we were warmly greeted by our certified trainee Susan, and all of the clinic staff. Almost immediately, a line of patients began to form, and it was time to begin a day of “See and Treat”! It was satisfying to watch the interaction between our staff and patients. It is clear that these women feel safe and comfortable in the care of our “See and Treat” professionals.Once our day was finished in Muhuru, we drove to the town of Isebania (which is located right on the border between Kenya and Tanzania) to visit The Eliana Clinic. As you can see from the photos, it was a sweet reunion for Dr. Gordon and Genevieve, our certified “See and Treat” specialist.
After a productive visit, it was time for us to return to our hotel, and prepare for another day of clinic visits tomorrow. I would like to say “thank you” to everyone who is following along with us on this very special trip. We are grateful for your support!
