Pack Day for Haiti Part Two

Pack Day for Haiti Part Two
The CureCervicalCancer team met today to finalize the packing for our Haiti program! We arrive in Haiti on Saturday, September 20th and will return the following week on Saturday the 27th. After an entire summer filled with planning countless details for this trip, we are excited to finally return for part two of this program and continue the work we love doing. We anticipate screening and treating hundreds of women with pre-cervical cancer lesions in addition to resupplying, retraining, and reeducating our local healthcare professionals! As seen in the picture, pack day took place in Dr. Gordon’s garage where team members Dr. Gordon, Dr. Lang, Jackie, Shivam, and Stephen set up an assembly line of supplies to pack in each suitcase. Per usual, one suitcase equates to one clinic, meaning each suitcase has all the supplies needed to set up an entire clinic. Talk about efficiency! This includes the clinic sign for the new “Phyllis Clinic” we will be establishing in Tibuk, cryotherapy sets, hundreds of vaginal speculum, latex gloves, swabs, and other various items.Since shipping these suitcases is NEVER an option (as it would be too easy to lose our suitcases this way and get stuck in customs), we always bring our suitcases on the plane with us and make sure they never leave our sight. We spent the entire day double, triple, and quadruple checking to ensure we have all the necessary supplies and details packed and planned for Haiti. It’s no secret that our attention to detail is what allows us to be so effective!See you soon, Haiti!!!
