Just around the corner on November 12th, Dr. Patricia Gordon and the CCC team will return to rural China to educate local healthcare professionals in a four-stop mission. This mission will train healthcare professionals in the art of the “See and Treat” method. This method will be implemented in hospitals all across China in order to prevent the completely curable epidemic of cervical cancer. CCC will travel to the cities of Shenzhen, Kunming, Nanchang, and Chongqing. The team will lecture health professionals in the “See,” which involves the visualization of the cervix with vinegar and “Treat” which is the non-invasive cryotherapy technique. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes. The team is very excited to bring with them our new Full Time nurse Rebecca Lepsik RN. We will also be joined by CCC Senior Coordinator Leila Hariri, and Director of Communications Julia Scott. This amazing team of women will stand to educate healthcare professionals for the women of rural China in order to save thousands of lives. Follow us at curecervicalcancer.org/blog/ for day to day updates on the mission.
